Proper procedure for disinfecting metal tools:
- Clean the metal tool of any organic contamination (dust, skin pieces, etc.). Cleaning can be done manually under lukewarm running water with the help of a nail brush, or with a Crystal Nails XtremePRO Ultrasonic Cleaner.
- Dry the tool thoroughly.
- Spray the tool with a tool disinfectant; CrystalSept Alcohol-based Tool and Surface
- Disinfectant can be used for this purpose. Make sure the disinfectant reaches all surfaces of the tool that were in use. Wait 1–1.5 minutes; this is the time needed for the disinfectant to take effect.
- Rinse off the disinfectant from the metal tool thoroughly under running water.
- Dry the tool, then place it in its storage location.
Never allow disinfectant or water to dry on the tool, as this can damage the quality of the tool.
